Karen is a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse and Midwife with over 25 years experience.  As a mother of three beautiful adult children herself, Karen has supported countless families through the profound journey of pregnancy, childbirth and  postpartum care.

Specialising in both normal and complex deliveries, Karen is committed to providing holistic, patient-centred care that empowers every woman to make informed decisions.

Karen’s extensive experience includes 14 years in the Birth Suite at Prince of Wales Private Hospital, where she currently works alongside the Alana Obstetricians supporting their patients.

In addition to her significant midwifery skills she also provides expert guidance in breastfeeding and lactation as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.  With a deep understanding of lactation challenges, she helps mothers establish healthy feeding routines, address common issues such as latch difficulties, and provides emotional support to ensure that they feel confident and supported.

Karen’s practice with Alana centres around evidence-based care, empathy and open communication.  She works collaboratively with families and the Alana Obstetricians to create positive parenting and birth experiences, ensuring families feel nurtured and well-equipped on their journey.
