No. Fibroids are benign growths of the muscle of the uterine wall that occur in more than 50% of women before the age of 50.
They do not become a cancerous lesion and do not need to be removed for this reason.
Cancer of the uterine muscle (called a leiomyosarcoma) is a very rare condition and is thought to occur by a separate pathway. That is it starts as a cancer, and does not become a cancer from a fibroid.
