Smiling, even when juggling her busy career.  Erin spends much of her downtime (when she gets it) behind the lens of a camera or her sewing machine.  Which is why we think she is a Surgeon and Obstetrician with an eye for detail

After graduating with Honours from The University of Newcastle in 2003, Erin completed her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Royal Hospital for Women.  Her fellowship in laparoscopic gynaecology was completed under the tutelage of Professor Jason Abbott and accredited by the Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy Society (AGES).

In addition to her private practice at Alana, Erin is Director of Gynaecology at the Royal Hospital for Women where she works as a clinician, educator and researcher, conducting clinical trials and meeting the challenges of finding the answers to the endless number of clinical questions.  Erin has run programs for medical students, examines and is a conjoint lecturer and Associate Professor at UNSW where she delights in teaching and passing on her wealth of knowledge.

Her thirst for knowledge and helping women is exemplified with her completion of her PhD with the UNSW, investigating the application of three-dimensional ultrasound of the pelvic floor to women with pelvic pain.  This world-first group of studies aims to help assist in the diagnosis and treatment of female pelvic pain and puts Erin at the forefront of this cutting edge technology and information.

Erin loves the combination of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and the flexibility that the group practice gives her to have a balanced professional and personal life while providing high quality care for her patients.  Her eye for detail is reflected in both the lens of her camera and the lens of her operating laparoscope where skill, dedication and practice both result in works of art.
